TaxFolder and e-signature

This year I have been facing issue that tab color does not change all the time when we send the document for e-signature. Sometimes, it changes the color when we send the second time. Anyone else came across the same issue and any suggestions?

  1. We are not sure if the document was sent in the first attempt.
  2. Clients gets confused if the document is received twice.

At this time of year it may take a several seconds longer than normal to get the esignature confirmation back from the notification system. There are several steps between sending and returning the confirmation back to TaxCycle. Give it a minute and then click on the little hamburger icon at the bottom of the screen to check the notification status.

You can check the sent status by clicking on File>Info>History. You should see a printed event that looks something like this:

If notifications is having trouble connecting and you want to be doubly sure the request was sent, your best bet is to check your TaxFolder dashboard to verify the esignature request was created.

I’m having a different issue where the client says they signed, it’s not showing as signed, but when I go to resend the request in TaxFolder, it says it’s already been signed.

Also having the opposite issue where something IS signed in TaxFolder, and shows as signed in TaxCycle, and allows me to file it and then when I send digital copies of the tax return it throws us an error that there’s no e-signature.
