An interesting dilemma. I recently tried to e-file a client’s T1. An error message was returned indicating another return had been filed with the same DCN. It turns out the accepted return is for a relative.
TaxCycle won’t allow the DCN for the unfiled return to be deleted and a reprint of the T183 does not do anything to change/update the DCN. Is there a way to affect a change to the DCN so as to allow the return to be filed electronically?
