Is there a way in TaxFolder to show a history of statuses for Approvals and Signatures before the document was finalized?
I sent a T183 to a client for e-signature on August 24. Today, they claimed to have not received it. I just went in and re-sent it. Before I re-sent it, the status showed “Delivered on August 24, 2026.” After I re-sent it, the status only shows the most recent action (Delivered on September 4th, 2026). I know the full listing of events with timestamps will show in the Electronic Signature Certificate. However, I would just like to be able to show that I did indeed send it and it was delivered on the 24th (in this case) before the document is finalized.
Long story short, why can’t the status dropdown, in TaxFolder show the full history of status changes?
Hey Sarka! I just tried using that feature and it only shows when the document was created. Not when it was delivered, viewed, signed, or anything else.
We do not currently track email delivery status in the history. Email status for the most recent state (ie delivered, bounced, clicked etc) is available in the expandable section below the document.
If history for the email delivery would be useful, please add that as a suggestion in the “Product Suggestions” category so we can gauge overall customer interest in this feature enhancement.
What is history supposed to track? No matter what stage it’s at, it only ever shows as when it was created which isn’t very useful because as you said, that’s already in the delivery notes. It woul be nice if the history tracked when things expired and/or were re-sent each time it’s done. Currently when something is re-sent, we lose all prior status on it.
I can confirm I’m having the same bug. The history on a completed document only shows “Created Document” and “Downloaded completed document.”
@sarka, even in your first reply with screenshots, the screenshots show the bug. The document shows completed in the first screenshot but the history view is only showing the “Created Document” event.
