Is anyone else having trouble logging in to RAC or AFR today or is it just me?
No issues on my end, tried both in the last 5 minutes

No trouble logging in, but even the minimal amount of tab refreshing that used to be OK (ie return to the “Choose your Adventure” page) no longer works.
Getting booted out 15 or more times a day now.
Went looking with some curiosity online for “complaints about Rep a Client” and ran across the 2024 CPA “Questions for CRA” doc, which I hadn’t previously seen (it doesn’t appear to have a date attached either).
It’s a PDF here; and it makes me wonder…who came up with these puffball questions? Also … who came up with the virtually useless responses? It makes for some interesting reading.
Stunning that a professional organization can’t get a straight answer out of the government department that is (incompetently) administering the tax regime for the country.
Most of the responses are of the order “CRA is wonderful as we’re exploring all kinds of great things but we’re not doing it now, or in the forseeable future, like the next thousand years”. (OK - I did kind of embellish that part…)
Ugh…no wonder it’s in the mess it’s in this year.
CRA seems to have randomized the ways in which they can deny you access to RAC. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern. Just spin the wheel and maybe the Russian bots will get tired of trying to get through the flimsy CRA security by being told there is a problem. I agree that the various CPA associations need to ask straightforward questions and ask for real answers. They really don’t need to pump CRA’s ego.
