Is anyone else having issues with AFR RRSP information today? When I use AFR I get warnings my RRSP limits and carryforwards don’t match AFR. $0.00 obtained from AFR. However, when I log into their CRA accounts the RRSP information matches my records. Not sure if this is a CRA or a TaxCycle issue. My guess is CRA.
Yes I have for some and others it works… I suspect CRA issues and will try again in a bit
LOL - good ol’ CRA tech….works….sometimes.
Today was logged into RAC, then did a couple of AFRs….worked OK. On the next one it decided to force-open a second Firefox window to log in to RAC. I obliged and it promptly barfed. Had to log out of both windows, quit FF, and log back in to RAC, where it worked fine again.
How DO these people keep their jobs?
Dealing with RAC this year is frustrating. I assume the constant log-off’s and the problems trying to log back in again are intentional to thwart the hackers but there has to be a middle ground that lets the tax preparer actually get work done. Early in tax season I used to get a message now and then that my user ID wasn’t valid anymore. And when I called CRA, I sometimes got some agents who would tell me that I have to go through the re-certification process again and others (the same day) who would tell me nothing is wrong. Fortunately, there was nothing wrong except that the message kept appearing. I wasted too many hours dealing with that!
Every day when I log into RAC, I check to see if my Processing Reviews submitted in September have progressed. Now THAT is a joke of another kind.
At least most of the slips are there this year.
Haven’t seen any of these issues myself, other than getting forcibly logged out of RAC regularly. Even Tab Reloader doesn’t do much good anymore.
yep … Tab Reloader hasn’t worked for 2 seasons now. Annoying. But then, so is CRA.
Yes…. many problems today (Apr 8). Loaded one family and the RRSP limit was 0 for both parents. RAC stated otherwise.
Cant rely solely on the download.
For me, the constant logoffs are the most irritating thing so far. I must waste at least an hour every day just logging back in.
I find that if I close the tab that RAC was on, I can log back in. It may take two or three tries but it generally works. I agree with you, though. That’s a real PITA.
That has been my experience too. It’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one it is happening to.
