Bug? Bad install? What...?

Just installed v 15.0.59766.0….with a LOT of difficulty and annoyance.

When I first tried, my C Drive had 3.5 GB free space….TC, which installs on the D Drive (30 GB free) failed installation several times.

Finally I rebooted and opened the C drive up to 5.5 GB free after loading TC into memory to do the update….then TC installed fine. D drive now shows as 28 GB free, with TC using 2.5 GB (about the same as before)…not sure where the rest of the space went yet….

The C drive has now depleted by FIVE GIGABYTES….eventually it released that and is now back to 6 GB free.

That’s horribly inefficient…how can a program not install with 3+ GB free space on the C drive…especially when the target installation location is NOT on that drive?

On top of that CM is as slow as molasses in January now, trying to find files. Ugh.

I wonder if it is a Windows problem. I have read somewhere Windows needs some empty space to function properly. 5G seems low to me. I might be wrong, I am not a computer guru.

3 GB should be LOADS of space for an installation…most applications CHECK available space first and THEN install…TC takes up 2.5 GB on my system when installed…the actual installation routine should not require more than that…and the drive on which it is installed has enough space to install it 10 times over.

TC support…over to you?
