Appeal Office

A new client want to object an appeal decision by a officer due to lack of documents. Now the client has the documents. The telephone number for the officer is not in service. Anyone had a similar issue trying to reach CRA? The CRA general line cannot help me, they said to call the number in the letter, but the number is not in service.

Do you mean the client wants to cancel the appeal? If so, I would just write a letter to CRA advising that the matter has been cleared up and the client does not see the need to appeal.

Any correspondence in an appeal situation should be in writing.

Further, you may want to just submit the documents under Represent A Client, assuming you have a number for the appeal. You may want to do this before cancelling the appeal just to make sure CRA will still allow the appeal.

Check the date, make sure it’s within the allowable appeal time frame, and you can file the notice of appeal online via represent my client
