Is there a way to batch add clients to Taxfolder without first asking them to sign a document? I’m going to use Docusign for my engagement letter and kickoff checklist, but I would like to be able to send my clients an invite to TaxFolder to share documents and eventually sign their T183. I’d really like to avoid having to add them all individually to Taxfolder to get them set up on the portal.
Not at this time. You can add your clients in the TaxFolder dashboard without having to print from TaxCycle. This will create the client and trigger a request to your client to activate their account. It will also create the engagement and trigger a separate request to upload documents.
It has been four years since this post. Is a batch add of clients now available?
Does anyone know how to invite a client from TaxCycle without logging into TaxFolder.com? It takes a bit of time to correctly copy the information from TaxCycle.
When you print from TaxCycle, check the box to “Invite new client to TaxFolder” to create the document signature or approval request and invite your client to connect to their client portal.

The ability to add clients as a batch is not supported in TaxFolder but something we hope to add as we build out our cloud product.

Thanks for your reply. I watched your on-demand course, read the instructions, and set up the TaxCycle printer as advised. However, whenever I try to connect to TaxFolder to request a signature from TaxCycle, it doesn’t seem to work.
Are you able to sign into TaxCycle at the top of the application with the same login you use to access TaxFolder? If you are signed in, do you see an error message when you try to print to TaxFolder?
Without more information it is difficult to diagnose what might be happening. It would be best if you contact support and have them screen share with you.
Thank you! I am able to sign into both TaxCycle and TaxFolder using the same login credentials. However, when I attempt to connect TaxFolder from within TaxCycle, I see a “Signing in” message. After entering my email address and password, it returns to the same “Signing in” message without progressing further.
I shared my screen with your support team, but they were unable to determine the cause of the issue.
