TaxCycle 2019 Forms Additions Request

This is just a start of request for addition to Forms. I love the idea of the Forms module. I just wish that it were complete.

Here is a complete list of CRA Forms which unfortunately combines those that are within the T1 Returns and other Tax Returns. There is no way to filter just for T1.

https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/forms.html

Here are some commonly used forms which are not including the list of 55 forms in the current release of the TaxCycle Forms Module.

RC325 - Address Change

RC65 - Marital Status Change

RC66 - Canada Child Benefits Application

T1158 - Registration of Family Support

GST Return working copy

GST 62 - Return non Personalized

All GST Returns, Elections, Forms

Letter or Form re Principal Residence Election
I will draft one up to post within the next couple of days.

From time to time I will post additional frequently used Forms.

@dominique_dabolczi Thank you for your feedback. I have logged your request in our tracker.

CRA Direct Deposit Form
Please add T1-DD or current best form for CRA direct deposit change or addition throughout the year for processing via mail or submit documents.

Service Canada Direct Deposit Form
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/direct-deposit.html

The CRA will not process a paper filed direct deposit request.

If you wish direct deposit set up, your options are:

  1. Fill in the T1DD and electronically transmit the tax return (Not an option other than for original filed returns.)
  2. Use “My Account” at the CRA. (Not an option for Representatives, but is an option for individuals with Power of Attorney and have the “Power of Attorney” My Account option set up. Note that I know of no one with that ability.
  3. Possibly, but highly unlikely, fill in the T1DD, then print the paper T1 Condensed with the direct deposit information on the last page and the bar code(s). I have not see this work.

If you need to cancel a direct deposit request, good luck!

#T1DD
Thank you for this clarification and update.

A while ago, maybe two years or three ago, TD bank had offered to update the Government of Canada (including Service Canada and CRA) with the direct deposit information based on an advice signed by me and bank transit info preprinted and stamped by TD.

I got a stack of direct deposit info updated for everyone in my family. In some cases multiple family members were named on one account. the forms were tied to the bank access card which was tied to one individual only. So, this should have worked.

Unfortunately about a quarter of them were wrong. Somehow the bank account info and the tax payer info got mixed up. I checked the forms. They were all correct. However there were two types of forms. Individual tax payer + Direct Deposit Acct Info. So the process was flawed. I had to go into My Account and My Service Canada Account to fix it.

So how are we to help clients who don’t use MyAccount?

Just wait one year for tax season to roll around again?

Please add RC151 GST/HST credit application form to the TaxCycle Forms Module.

https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/forms/rc151.html

I understand that the client can call them, go through the security protocol and change the numbers over the phone. One client tells me she did just that.

The RC151 form is in development and will be included in a future release.

@sarka re RC151
Thank you. Much appreciated.

@Forms

Could you add these self printable remittance vouchers in the TaxCycle Forms module?

Please note:
Contrary to the CRA post some of these remittance vouchers are intended for individuals. Others are intended for Business Number registrants.

Perhaps it may be helpful to add a new tab in the Forms module for remittance and payment vouchers.

It may be helpful to add a blank T7DR and INNS3 as well.

This is the downloadable and fillable forms list quoted in the EFile News of February 18, 2019 - Print orders.

The link is broken in this article. This is the correct link.

The above self printable remittance vouchers are intended for individuals and not businesses.

Good evening,
When RC151 is complete for new immigrant clients, does it get e-filed with the tax file or does it need to be printed and mailed out? Thanks

@jmvca The RC151 is not included in the electronic transmission. This would need to be filed separately.

Sarka

Hi Sarka,

When we put numbers for last years income for immigrant people in “Immigrant/Emigrant” form on TaxCycle, is that enough for applying for GST for newcomers? Or still we need to fill RC151 separately and send it by mail or fax to tax centres?

Thanks

That worksheet is used to calculate the net income showing up on the spouse’s return. That spousal income amount on page 1 of a T1 is the only number transmitted.

RC151 requires the total worldwide income for from Jan 1 to the immigration date for the tax year of immigration plus the total worldwide income for the preceding two years ans, as previously mentioned needs to be filed separately.

Then why it is asking for RC151 and RC66 at the bottom of that worksheet (Immigrant/Emigrant). For prior years income?

Doesn’t it mean that TaxCycle can send it to CRA for GST applications at the same time?

Because it feeds to the RC151, a form included in the T1 software.

Complete the immigrant form in full and print the RC151 for the client’s signature.
