T2 Auth Rep submission errors

An existing client incorporated a new company. I completed an AuthRepBus form, had signed & TRIED to submit. Here’s the error:
E-filer ID or Password invalid
I know for a fact that my filer ID is correct - I set it up when I started with TaxCycle years ago. And, my efile password is correct. It works for all other functions. If the client’s primary contact name was wrong, I’d get a different error. Any ideas?

Just a tip - who or what has been the most unreliable entity that we have been dealing with recently. We have seen to many errors that don’t make sense. sorry, I realize that this is of no help.

Ideas how to get it accepted by CRA? Nope. I gave up filing AuthRepBus forms in the fall of 2022 when CRA made it impossible to get authorized until the client logs into their MBA and approves your request. If they can get to the stage of LOGGING IN TO CRA and FINDING THAT REQUEST, they can do the one extra step of TYPING IN MY BUSINESS NUMBER (which I give them). If they can’t get that far anyway, it’s a waste of my time getting them to sign the form, and submitting the request to CRA (unless all you want is OFFLINE access, in which case you might as well just MAIL the form to CRA).

Fortunately, this client has an accountant who’s on the ball with their CRA accounts and can hook me up, if she’s already set up herself. So many of my clients get a glazed look in their eyes or don’t respond when I mention My Account or My Business Account.

I just tell the client they need to log into their MBA and authorize me, if they don’t have an account I tell to get one. They usually are able to figure it out and get it done.

Not the older ones…and even some of the younger ones. It’s an insanely stupid process.
