Import XML into T4 Module, Can we have the option to ignore client address portion, so we have a choice to import company address or not.
Could we get address columns added to the T4 slip summary as optional columns
Postal code in T4 does not pull properly
all columns should be added. maybe give us the ability to have multiple setups depending on the situation
When you save the the columns in the T4, the pop up box is missing something in the verbiage
I aim to finalize T1’s received in one week by the end of the next week. In the Client Manager for T1’s, it would be helpful to add (in the Dates section of the Quick Searches) a criteria for the Received Date being before the current date.
Multiple executors in T1 module.
Can we get the database to group clients by business number, Since I was not allowed periods in T4 and T5 files in the beginning I have two groups of the same client, xyz company ltd and xyz company ltd. I really do not want to open up every file to rename
One other thing that annoys me that should be fixed. Optimization of Donations places the donations on one spouse who has the refund rather than the one with the balance owing. I have a client that has a refund of 7000 and the spouse has a balance owing of 9000 but when I turn off optimizations and force the donations on the other spouse I have a nil balance on one and 2000 owing on the other. please add the ability to tell Taxcycle who claims the donations without turning off optimizations of at least let me turn it off on the donation screen. You could also adjust you optimization calculation.
+1 vote. Also would like the ability to transfer the donations between the spouses. Maybe I missed how to do this since this seems like such an obvious requirement.
There should be the same option as with medical expenses - either a 100% or partial allocation.
Both transfers and splitting exist already for both charitable and medical although I do find the charitable a little awkward.
I would like the Client Manager to be more flexible to add more fields to the view and expand the number of fields in the quick reports. It’s a big ask but I currently track T1’s with my own system and the CM. I’d like to use just the CM but it’s not flexible enough. Yes, I can create/export/print Batch lists using any fields but it’s a clunky way to control the T1’s.
It’s at the top of the medical worksheet, and I think halfway down the donations worksheet. You can also go to the optimization screen.
I’ve noticed two quarks this month with TaxCycle:
a) Pension Income Splitting: I have found that I sometimes have to cancel the optimization and manually select the other spouse that also has pension income and I receive a higher refund.
b) Medical Expenses. I find the receipt date field very annoying. When I have multiple receipts with the same date, I like to quickly copy and paste the date to the next line. I can easily do this with Profile, but not with TaxCycle. In TaxCycle, I’m forced to select the entire date field before it will paste the date, so it slows down the process as those extra key strokes are required for that selection. (ie: on a new line, only the “YYYY” is selected and not the entire range of YYYY,MM,DD, preventing the date from pasting without selecting that entire range).
I’ve tried using the double quotes “” (ditto shortcut) but that doesn’t work either.
Is there a shortcut that I’m missing?

Key below the esc key will repeat entry above.
Works in all table locations I believe.
Thanks, Arliss! Yes, the Tilde key works great. Wish I knew that trick earlier. Much appreciated.
I don’t enter the date of receipts unless I’m using an off-calendar year basis for medical expenses (which is rare). I use Dec 31 for all medical expenses. CRA doesn’t care if your expense is September 17 or March 5 unless you’re using that off-calendar year method. Maybe the program should have a checkbox to use an off-calendar year basis in which case the date entry is not even required.
I do same thing… skip the date unless off calendar year… agree tick mark to skip date column would be handy

I have created custom templates such as privacy waivers.
Templates can be cloned and edited.
I do the same - I find it irritating that the 2020 is there but I still have to type the date over top. I would use the tick to skip the date or set it at your end.
