Submitting documents hanging up

Trying to submit a trust indenture for a new client using “submit documents” in RAC. I get to the point where I pick an option for the type of document and hit “next”, but it doesn’t go beyond that. There are 3 options which allow me to submit a document, and I tried all 3. None allow me to go to the next panel, where, I believe, I pick my file to transmit. Last time I had to use this was 2022, and it worked fine. Another CRA glitch? I’m not wasting time calling, just mail it in. I wonder, when do I have to start using US stamps? Didn’t take long for Zelensky to cave in to the dictator.

You can fax it…

Has anyone been able to use Submit documents lately? when I hit to upload, it says “This service is not available at this time. Please try again later.”

I just discovered a possible reason and solution to this issue.

I was getting the same message - trying to submit something on behalf of a corporate client in response to a CRA review. I had been “trying again” every day for a week, and getting the same message. And it is frustrating, because it forces you to go through the whole submission process - entering the case number, entering the business number, uploading the document, and entering a description - before giving you that error upon the final SUBMIT.

Today, I tried logging in to the client account first (i.e. “Access BN” to view their account via RAC). Then, I used the Submit Documents link from within that area. The only difference is that it doesn’t ask you to enter the client’s BN (which makes sense, since we’ve already logged into their account). But, then…the submission WENT THROUGH! (jaw drop)

I suspect this may be intentional - to prevent “fake” representatives from submitting documents on behalf of taxpayers who have not authorized them.

Anyways, hope this discovery helps others…
