I have been trying over and over with several clients to submit documents. takes them ok, but shows " not supported ". I am using pdf’s and some submissions are ok, and some not. tried shortening the document name, but no difference.
I’ve experienced similar issues with Submit Documents where even shortening the file name isn’t always successful. I’ve found that I often need to have the document description area filled in first before the file will be accepted and even then it’s hit and miss. Eventually it catches and I’m able to submit.
From memory, I may have even started over to get it to work.
Maybe a file size issue? There is a maximum - 500 MB in some cases, not sure if it’s the same for all types of submissions. If you have large PDFs, you can reduce the file size (without reducing the quality, unless it’s a full color photo or something) using various online tools like pdf2go.com
@Nezzer
Thanks for this tip. I love secure, feature rich, and affordable PDF creation, manipulation, and processing tools.
Currently I use Adobe, NitroPDF, print friendly browser add-in for some hard to print online shopping carts with non-compliant invoices, and a few others as needed. I have been looking at adding CloudHQ.
I was unfamiliar with Pdf2Go which now had a windows version as well. Both the online and windows version look interesting. About QaamGo.com - Software as a Service provider
Thanks for sharing. \DDF
It is buggy the entire submit a document, I cant even attach a document…Tried with many clients.
Lets wait to see if its fixed, I do not think its a file issue.
I have today submitted a 20 page document through RAC for a corporate client. Had no problem. It was a reply to a limited audit and I had a case number.
I guess I spoke too soon. Can’t even sign in to RAC now. Does anyone know how many attempts are allowed before your account is locked? Message says my username and/or password are incorrect.
system is down, see Taxcycle news
Yes, I saw that when I opened TaxCycle. I’ll retry in the morning. Frustrating. At least I have company.
I ended up changing my password, and still couldn’t get in. To do that I had to remember “The first big news item you remember growing up” that I created 10 years ago. It was something I remembered from when I was 5 years old.
It’s not us, it’s them.
