Soccer training expenses for kid with disability, does it qualify as a medical expense?

I have a T4 client with a child under 16 who has a disability. The child has been approved for the Federal disability credit and has enrolled his kid into soccer training to aid in his development. Does this qualify as a medical expense? If not, what category would it fall under?

Go review allowable medical expenses. You won’t find it. If, by chance, your client lives in Nova Scotia, there’s the children’s arts & fitness tax credit. Maximum credit is reached when you spend $500 per child. And, with our exceptionally generous tax credit rate of 8.79%, you’re in for some serious cheddar. You might spent $5,000 to have your kid in hockey, and you’ll save the princely sum of $47.95. There’s no federal counterpart. Politicians know how to put a positive spin on anything. We’ll give you a tax credit of 10% of your investment this year. What they left out is that you’re taxed on it next year. Or, it reduces UCC going forward, reducing CCA and increasing tax. There must be a university level course on parliament hill for new MP’s to teach them never to tell the whole truth without actually lying.

I’m sorry, what was the question?
