Clients child attends separate school for a disability. How should I claim the cost?
Specialized tutoring is deductible under medical with a disability tax credit. Might need a doctor’s note if you don’t have a disability tax credit for the child. Not sure if the entire tuition would be deductible but I have defended after school tutoring (Sylvan Learning Center) when questioned by the CRA for a child with the disability tax credit on file. .
