Duplicate Client Account?

Today I sent a preseason letter to a client that had already signed an engagement letter through his TaxFolder account T1 engagement and it created a second account for the same individual. Why did this occur, will he be able to authorize it, and what is the fix if I need to get rid of this second account?

Without more information I am not sure how best to advise you. When you say “account” do you mean a second engagement folder? A new client would only be created if the email being used does not already exist in your TaxFolder firm. Your best bet is to send an email to info@taxcycle.com with the client email address and we can investigate from there.
