I wonder if CRA implemented this change to free up users on their servers? Perhaps their login servers have been reaching critical loads and thus over-taxing their infrastructure? Easier to terminate idle connections vs spending money to improved infrastructure that allows increased connectivity. Just a thought, for what its worth.
