Is anyone else not being able to access the RAC account this morning?
It was working from 8am to 10am. Just down after 10am.
Darn it me too … out in Atlantic Canada … .such a great start to our tax season … ugh

Unable to file a T4 as well.
Thought it was me, I was trying to open Rep A Client on multiple browsers. Happy Monday everyone 
Me, too. CRA was obviously doing maintenance on the weekend and has pooched the system with their “improvements”. Back to the stone age.

RAC is still down.
The system is back up. I had a new client in this morning and he signed the T1 AUTH form. Once their system was up, I transmitted the form through the 2023 T1. Got a message back saying that I was using the incorrect version. I carried forward the 2023 T1 and tried transmitting the AUTH in the 2024 T1 program. Got the same message (“incorrect version”).
I had to file the authorization request in RAC, answer a question from the client’s 2022 tax return, which my 91 year old prospective client had a problem finding, print the form, ask him to come down to the office again to sign CRA’s new form, and upload it “within 30 days”.
I was afraid they were going to make this 91 year old setup his MyAccount service but I sure hope this is not the new and improved way to get authorization through CRA.
I’m thinking I should have been a motorcycle mechanic. Open my own shop and get a better rate than as an accountant.
