The Client Manager won’t populate the list for Quick Searches for my 2025 files. This is the case for T2, T4 and T5 files…don’t know about T1 files yet. Since July, I’ve been expecting an update to fix this problem….
In Options, I’ve added the 2025 folders for the ‘Files and Folders…Client Folders’, similar to all previous years); and the Quick Search has the exact same parameters as previous years (except the tax year, of course).
The T2 Quick Search DOES find two 2025 returns that are incorrectly stored in the 2024 folder, but they disappear from the index when I move the files to the 2025 folder.
I also build a Quick Seacrh that lists 2024 files that have not yet been carried forward to 2025…these searches (for T2, T4 and T5) still list the files I have already carried forward; so it seems that CM simply can’t see into the current year folders.
I’ve made sure the folders are properly shared; I can access them from the ‘Start…Open’ and other dialogues that by-pass the CM.
