Asking for WAC number to file T4/T5 directly from tax Cycle

Guys,
I am dealing with about 100 clients right now, is there an efficient way to request for the WAC (Web Access Code) for all of them as once or I need to call for each of them individually? I am trying to file T4/T5 this year using Tax Cycle instead of the Web Form like usually, but there has been some hassles… Thank you! Appreciate your insight!!

I am note sure if it works this year due to all the changes that have been discussed lately but in prior years I have just used my WAC for all my clients. I ensure that I use the correct account numbers through filing on the CRA webforms and not through Rep a Client. I don’t have huge numbers of clients but it has always worked just fine in the past. I don’t use Tax Cycle to prepare T4’s etc because I only have about 10 clients that need them and they only have 1 or 2 slips each.

I use TaxCycle to file T-slips and have set up my BN and WAC in the options profile for slips. I don’t use a client WAC. I have file some slips already this year and did not have any trouble.

I filed T4’s and T5’s using my business number and WAC number through TaxCycle and let TaxCycle attach each client’s file and their business number and it worked very smoothly.

You don’t need a WAC for each client. You only need ONE WAC - registered to your own firm. Plug that into TaxCycle (as noted by @grangers2016 and @charles), and it will be used for all slip filing.

sorry for the old thread, but I’m still having these issues.

I’m a small preparer and have a RC number and RT number …I do not have a RP number.

When I call CRA - they said I need to have a RP number inorder to get a WAC

Not true (unless something has changed in the last few years). My WAC is based on my RZ account.

If you don’t have an RZ account, set one up! It’s not difficult.

I can get a RZ number - does a RZ number on my end have any filing/compliance requirements?

I don’t have a WAC number, I just have my Rep Id.

Set up an RZ account…that will provide you with a WAC number.

A company can have multiple RZ accounts. For example one for T5’s and one for T5018’s. If there are no transactions that require those slips, there are no filing requirements.

Yep, I use one for all clients, including those for my own corp. Doesn’t matter ..T4, T5, T5018 etc. Think of it more as a “We know who actually filed this” ID number.
