Windows 11 Smart Control App

Let’s hear from Microsoft! They are my “heroes” (Please Note Sarcasm )

Last night I got one of those Windows “updates”

I launched TaxCycle, and I got a Smart App Control indicating a “part” of TaxCycle does not have a proper "signature " verification. The program appears to be working fine. When I closed and restarted TaxCycle, I did not get a message.
Is this an issue or should I take Microsoft off my Xmas list?

Smart App Control is known to generate false positives. It can only run on a new, clean Windows 11 installation, so a lot of computers don’t even have it enabled. And once you turn it off, it can’t be turned back on again. It’s not essential. Unless you really WANT it, I’d just turn it off.

I thought as much. Strike Microsoft off Xmas list it is.
