Beginner’s guide to e-Signatures from OneSpan.
Any possibility of using the “signature/notorary” product signnow? Integration?
Hi Cameron, can you consider Hellosign as another option as well?
Unlikely for this year, but if enough customers request it we will look into it.
Any update on when we should expect the intergration with DocuSign to be released?
Saturday or Monday. We have a few things to do left plus more QA.
I was just told by someone at support yesterday that all the esignature programs would work - they specifically mentioned HelloSign.
For those of you who are ProAdvisors with QuickBooks Online, QBO has a discount program with DocuSign. Depending on your ProAdvisor level, you can get from 20% to 40% off your DocuSign subscription.
Details are in your ProAdvisor Benefits section in QBO.
Cameron, exactly which docusign plan should we get and will we be able to share the account in the office or will every user need an account?
Exactly my question. We have seven licenses – so do we need seven? However, the packages for signatures are usually sent by only two designated staff members…
Atuls
cheapest plan only gives 5 docs a month. you’d need the standard plan with 3 users
Only my receptionist uses our single license. She’s not helping clients in and out of meetings etc, so I’ve assigned her other duties, including sending out the DocuSign to the clients and keeping track of who hasn’t signed and chasing them etc. Seems to be working well.
Does anyone have a best practice recommendation where there are multiple signatories using the same email address. I’m using Docusign and so far I’m not fully comfortable with the process they are recommending with this situation to make sure the taxpayer actually signs the authorization.
Does the group have any suggestions?

(Hi Greg, when you reply via email your entire signature is being attached. If you could delete that before you hit send it would be much appreciated.)
We are not currently allowing multiple documents to the same email address for confidentiality reasons. We do not have blanket permission from our clients to share their tax information with their spouses so I feel this would be a breach of my engagement.
End result is that we are currently mailing, in separate envelopes, any returns that we do not have individual email addresses for.
Hi Jeanette:
Thanks for the feedback. I think I’m going to go down the path of requesting unique emails for each family member. I want to be reasonably confident that I can defend due diligence in linking the person/taxpayer to the electronic signature.
Greg.
Cameron, since TaxCycle is about to send thousands of new customers to DoxCycle, is there any way you can negotiate a discount code for us? It’s a bit tough for many of us to swallow extra unexpected expenses at this time. Thanks!
If you’re a QuickBooks Advisor you can get between 20 and 40% off depending on what Tier you are.
I am a ProAdvisor and have no idea what Tiers you are referencing to.
Hi Helga,
The tiers are Silver, Gold, Platinum and Elite.
When you log into QBO you should see be able to click on ProAdvisor on the left of screen and that will tell you what Tier you are and what your discount would be for DocuSign
Cheers
I went to get the promo code out of the ProAdvisor portal today and use it, but it didn’t work for me. Looks like it might be broken now.
