I have a client who lives out of town without a printer and I was hoping to send over a request for an electronic signature on the T1 jacket. Then I would print it out and mail it in as usual. Have you had any luck with that being accepted? I thought I would print out the sheet with the credentials of the electronic signature from Taxfolder and include that as well. Thanks for any input you may have!
Hi Rachel, CRA has no problem accepting electronic signature on paper returns. I mailed at least 4 paper returns with electronic signature this year and CRA assessed them as usual.
If you are the authorized rep I would sign it too. I cannot imagine this being an issue for CRA.
They will process returns without any signature as well.
