I recently did something in Tax Cycle that changed a number of my options and I have no idea what I did or how to fix it. Any thoughts on where I can look to remedy this issue?
Also, possibly related, I now need to double click a form to open it whereas before I could click once and the form would open. Is this a new update or is this an option that I’ve chosen inadvertently?
The first place to check is in TaxCycle options. If you have created an Options Profile, you can select that in the top menu.
If you only see Local in the dropdown, then there may have been some change made to the folder or the files where those are stored. If you have a backup of your hard drive you should be able to track that down. You can find the folder where those are stored under Manage>View.
Hi @Sarka, is there a way to create a new ‘local profile’ from an existing profile?
Options profiles (other than local) are always set first if selected. So, in my first screen shot where 2024 Webinar Options is selected, this would load the options I configured for webinars first and then fill remaining options using my local options which have not already been specified in the 2024 Webinar Options profile.

You can also selectively copy/paste specific XML files from the local options folder if you only want to copy a subset of the local settings.
But, can you make a ‘non-local’ profile to a ‘local’ profile?
