I’m working on a template letter to T1 clients and want to refer to the dependants in the 2021 T1. My sentence would be something like “This fee includes tax returns for Brian, Cam, and Mary”. I see where the code File.Dependants can put out a list like “Brian Cam Mary” but I don’t see how I can manipulate that list to the format I want in a sentence, with a comma after the first two plus the “and” before the last.
Is there any way to refer to a specific dependant?
Edit: I found a way by referring to the dependants individually through the DEP worksheet. My fear was that the letter would pick up dependants for whom we were not filing T1’s. Surprisingly, it didn’t do that, however, it would be nice to have a more direct way to refer to dependants, such as “File.Dependant1”.
