Help reactivating Child Benefit after work permit expiry

Hi everyone,
I’m helping a friend update her information with the CRA to reactivate her Canada Child Benefit (CCB), which was stopped due to the expiry of her work permit. I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate any guidance from those with experience:

  1. I’m registered as a representative with a RepID. Can I submit the required forms without her manual signature, or is it mandatory for her to sign them before I send them?
  2. I’m planning to send her new valid work permit along with the RC66SCH (Status in Canada / Statement of Income) form. Are those two documents enough, or is there anything else I should include to ensure the benefit gets reactivated?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I’ve never dealt with this situation before, and never used a RC66SCH, but generally EVERYTHING that a taxpayer sends to CRA needs to be signed. There are some forms (such as a T1-ADJ) that can be signed by the representative rather than the taxpayer, but if this RC66SCH has a spot for “applicant signature”, then yes - it must be signed by the applicant.
