DoxCycle 13.2.54216.0

These still seem to be an issue in the new release.

Something I have noticed with this version is after saving a document to a separate pdf file in another location from Doxcycle and then subsequently trying to delete this newly saved file I get the following message.
Screenshot 2024-08-07 072819

I do not recall this behavior previously.

I have to exit Doxcycle in order to delete the said pdf file.

Doxcycle can’t find my scanner if the scanner is not turned on before Doxcycle is started. Refresh does not change this.

Close Doxcycle and restart and the scanner shows up immediately.

I’m still waiting for the 2024 save options to come out. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I believe that was included in the release before this most recent one.

Weird, still not showing on mine. Now to go looking for any manual updates since mine still shows it’s up to date.

Not sure when this crept in to the program but the tax return printing to Doxcycle names the first page as nothing (blank) and every other page after is then named, but page 2 has page 1’s name, page 3 has page 2’s name and so forth.

If you are showing Build 54216 on the start page, then you have the most recent release which includes the 2024 folders. If not, you can download the full update from our website.

Thanks @Arliss I have logged this to fix for the next release.

The file in use issue is scheduled to be fixed in the next release. We are still investigating the scanner not found issue you reported.

Printing return copy to Doxcycle is still just printing to the Principal Taxpayer as well. That is, the spouses copy lands in the Principal Taxpayers return section along with the Principal’s.

Hey Sarka,
I’m not on build 54216, but when I check for updates, both TaxCycle and DoxCycle show they are up to date. Do I need to manually download from the website and force an install to get to the correct version?

That’s what I had to do. Would be nice to have some kind of system alert that tells us when there’s updates.

There is an option - Start Screen - News, where you can select to have the news show when starting Taxcycle.

They do mention all releases in that news feed.

I don’t know about DoxCycle seeing as we don’t use it, but there’s a TaxCycle option to check for updates. I’m not sure if that’s the issue you’re having, but thought I would point it out.

In your options package, go to “Auto-update” and make sure there’s a check mark in the box beside “Enable Auto-update”…

You can also choose the frequency TaxCycle checks for updates.

Thanks so much for this! Solved the issue for the DoxCycle updates that aren’t auto-downloaded.
