I am really finding DoxCyle to be frustrating this year. I never get uncategorized documents, which you would think is great, but instead they all go to “Statement”. Then I have to filter though them all and select them and right click for Classification assistant. If this is how it’s going to be I rather it all come in in order and just let me categorize.
I have clients send me a bunch of documents which I drop into DoxCycle, now they are all out of order and much of them are Statement or client summary. I use this feature a lot and I have to say it was probably better last year.
I don’t really use it for data extraction, but document recognition is very important to me.
I find it doesn’t work because it will pull some pages from the document and erroneously flag them as Medical Expenses or Donations or something like that and mess the order up, and then I have to spend time recompiling my original document.
If I import say, a 10 page .pdf will, I expect it to stay a 10 grouped document in the same order in Doxcycle but it rarely happens.
You can also easily reclassify a document by typing in the class at the top of the form or you can drag and drop it to another category (hover over the category and then select the form classification):
You can also hold down CTRL to select multiple pages and then right-click to group together:
When DoxCycle scans a document, pages with less content are processed faster and can appear out of order as they are brought into DoxCycle once the processing is finished. It’s on our radar to improve.
For now, you can drag pages up or down within a grouped set to rearrange the order. DoxCycle will keep the new order once saved.
