I need to refile a 2018 return for a client that e-filed the original return themselves. I started the 2018 T1 file by entering the new data that needs to be transmitted to CRA into Taxcycle. Then realized that I needed to create a refile adjustment. I took a snapshot of the 2018 refile data then adjusted the 2018 T1 data to reflect the tax return as filed.
Is it now possible to create the T1 ADJ from the snapshot data?
Take “As filed” snapshot of data as originally filed and save.
Correct data and you should then be able complete the T1-ADJ.
