CRA contact number?

Does anyone happen to know the direct line for the “request verification” section in Sudbury? I submitted a monster sized review last fall and now we have another letter which says they need MORE info but doesn’t specify what they want - and the only phone number provided on the letter is general enquiries?!
Or should I just upload a reply with case # asking them to clarify?

In the intial review letter there should be a more specific number related to the review you responded to last year.

Might be a contact on the original review letter??

Nope. Original request letter came out of Winnipeg, it had a name + “processing review” but no direct number. The new letter came out of Sudbury with a different name + “request verification” but still no direct #. I really hope this isn’t the new normal.
I’ve looked through other clients’ letters that DO have phone numbers but they’re all from “processing review”…

On the processing review letters I get, they give 1-800-959-5504 as the number to call if you have any questions. I’m not sure what you mean by the “request verification” section. Call this number and they may be able to direct you.

Thanks. This is the contact info that appears on these 2 letters:

and then I have several different numbers on other processing review letters that have crossed my desk in the past few months…“request verification” is new to me, too. I think I’ll just respond by asking what exactly it is they want, or resubmit what I already sent them as I’m quite confident that general enquiries will be a waste of time.

Well, if it had “processing review” on it (which I gather it did), I’d still call the # I gave you. They’re usually pretty helpful. Other than that, try general enquiries early in the morning.

this new letter did not have “processing review” on it - that’s what’s got me scratching my head. And the PO box number for PR (in Sudbury) is not the same as this one, so presumably 2 distinct sections.

Can I ask why you would not call generic inquires and have them redirect you or have them inform you of what info populates on their screen ?

IMO, seems their system has changed and agents have more access when I make inquiries on letters with that phone number as reference.

Alright, I will try that again in the very early or very late hours (I have tried, a couple times and given up before getting a human).

I have many phone numbers for CRA Sudbury - you may want to try this one although I am not sure if it has changed: Problem Resolution Co-ordinator 705-671-0267. Good luck
