Woo hoo!!! Finally some movement on the professional side.
“This filing season, the CRA is piloting a new callback service for tax practitioners who are supporting clients in their individual tax and benefits enquiries. This service will be launched on Friday, February 27, 2026.”
You will all, no doubt, receive your email from CRA detailing procedures (likely wise not to publish these here, for public consumption).
Will now have to see how this works for us! But…it’s movement, finally, away from GE phones.

Probably because they can’t be autodialled? (Shared Services Canada isn’t smart enough to program that?)
Anyway - that would be my guess.
It’s a start!
Experienced agents calling back!
I hope it works well and gets expanded after the trial.
Calling back multiple times should avoid the phone tag of them calling when we’re in client appointments. I let out a woohoo! when I read it. My family thinks I’m a huge nerd. They have no idea what a game changer this will be or how sick of that hold music song I am
