Anyone else running into issues with client manager? I open the program go to do a search by typing in the client name, I then get the spinning wheel of death for a several seconds until the search bar clears , the spinning wheel of death disappears and then I have to type my search in again and every thing work fine until I close the program and reopen and it starts over.

same here, I think it happened with the latest update. When I try to type in the search bar, it ignores that and starts doing a full list search. Then I typed a second time and got the results.
Yes that is exactly the issue, it is very annoying
As a TaxCycle user from the original 2012 tax year, I now have over 12,000 TaxCycle files (not all T1’s) indexed. I’ve thought of removing some older folders from the indexing. I haven’t really noticed the CM slow up to now. I just think it might be faster if I don’t have it indexing that many files. That may be part of the problem. I haven’t found it bad yet this year but I know in prior years it always seemed to get buggy near the end of April. Bad timing!
There was a fix put into the update last week where on first search, CM should apply your “Default” saved search. HERE is an help topic where you can reference the set a Default Search section.
Let me know if this helps!
Personally I do not use the default, If that is the cause, I would like that option turned off would prefer
When I type out a name in the search bar on the start page it should search that, but instead it brings me to the full list. This happens the first time when TC is opened. the second time that bar will search properly. FYI - don’t have a default search set, if that make a difference.
Very annoying to have to type the search twice. I really don’t have time for that, plus it messes with my sanity thinking I did not type in a name!
Well it appears that Taxcycle does not watch the forums any longer. I called support and the only solution they provided was going to the client manager in options and un checking the automatically run a full list search
it is not actually fixing what is broken since I have never changed that option and it worked just fine until the last update. unclicking it seems to work better and still shows you the full list but much faster.
we are looking at releasing an update this week with a fix for client manager default searches to make this functionality easier for users.
Can confirm TaxCycle reads these forums, I’m in here on a daily basis

We know you are! Anyone that regularly reads the forum knows that. You are much appreciated.
Agreed - I just wonder how much Xero influence is behind the less-than-delightful QC this year? We’re not down to Int**t level, but things have definitely slipped a notch IMO.
Just one person’s experience.
