I have a client whose son shares the same first and last names which is not that uncommon. I found that with this family, I can only choose the father’s tax return by going to the wife’s return and pressing F5. When I choose the father’s return from the drop-down list it goes to the son’s tax return all the time.
Update … I found that after I accessed each return then when I choose the dad I can get to his return. Odd
I have the same situation here and I finally added the middle initial to the first name field which helps to identify the person. So far CRA hasn’t complained. Showing the middle initial on the tax return side bar would be helpful.
