Downloaded a free keystroke macro recorder utility from the web, created a macro which does the following…
- uses FastFind (F4) to go to the CarryForward form
- selects the “used” checkbox for that form
- switches to the spouse and kids returns and selects the same checkbox
- saves and closes the file
To use it, I open about 20 files at a time, then invoke the macro on each file with a hotkey.
Took a couple of hours to complete all 2023 files, but it’ll save me lots of grief in the heat of the battle next Spring!
