I (like many others) am transitioning from many years with ProFile and am wondering before I spend too much time on this: can this feature work with ProFile carryforwards (I am thinking no), or only works with files that were done using TaxCycle? If so I will recreate 19 in order to test drive the feature…
Oh, yes, it will carry forward prior years’ Profile. Click on carry forward, then it asks for a file name. It will show a TaxCycle file in the grey box above open. Click on the drop down and select your ProTax file. Just like that.

I can carry forward the files no problem, but haven’t been able to carry forward ALL the details (i,e, T2125) for planning scenarios directly from Profile. Am I missing a step? In any case I recreated the 19, then did the “carryforward & plan”…love this tool!
