Can I e-file while out of the country?

I am away on vacation for a couple weeks in the Caribbean. Can I e-file tax returns while out of the country?

Thanks
Gerry

I don’t see why not. The e-filing authorization is for you not your location.

Out-of-domiciled-Canadian servers could be blacklisted at CRA. I had trouble a couple of years back working from Azure (often used for VPN-based hacks).

Nothing to lose by trying.

Alternatively, set your system up so you can VPN to it from wherever you are and use it as normal.

I eFiled 5 returns (2019-2023) for a client while in Florida in January – no issues

Blacklisting, sounds like there’s something to lose.
I will setup the VPN to be safe.
Or I will teach my wife how to e-file in my absence.

Thanks,

Ive lived in south Florida for 7 years now and efiling has never been a problem.

Thanks Tony
