Accessing T-Slips

And we have nice “buttons” to say “Access SIN” or “Access BN” now…!! Pretty! (not)

FWIW, one used to be able to hit Enter after punching in the above, but alas, no longer, gotta hit the specific button.

Hmmm…

This presentation IS actually better to scan through, and reduces, slightly the download time. I’m not a fan of trading this for, say, accessing T-slips…but they didn’t ask me.

Can’t view a corp NoA either. Or Profile.

And they’ve changed around the “View Transactions” for account entries

Same crap report though, but it takes up the whole screen now. I guess this helps aging eyes?

But the website still exists…so I guess that’s progress!!!

And on the personal side they removed everything from the benefits & credits section except DTC, and now everything is in the “account statement” section as a drop down. Info on the kids and custody status is gone but that’s been gone awhile. The CERB section has been removed entirely. Again.

Ugh. Just ugh to it all.

But they took away the option to customize the printout based on dates.

And they round all the numbers.

BINGO! My associate taught me a good trick – please go to the Tax Information and once on that page, press F5 (referesh) key. You get all the data.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you for sharing… I have been following all of these comments on this topic… and nothing new to add except that same thing over here… New system is a mess… I will try the F5 key and see if it helps… sometimes CRA should not try to fix things that are not broken… I sincerely hope everyone is reporting these issues.

I tried it on several of my clients – and each time, I got the slips. A bit slow; and sometimes I had to hit the F5 key couple of times… But works!

Well that’s a great idea, except there really ISN’T anyone to report it to…and the ones we CAN reach are not useful (ie PubInfo). And Bob WK Hamilton is too busy apparently building…something out there that nobody actually cares about. But HE would be the logical person as the person in charge of CRA…or Minister Bibeau, but she’s too busy playing politics.

This is SO frustrating.

Mainstream media is probably the only real choice.

Thank you for sharing that tip. It worked with no problems encountered.

This worked perfectly. I tried on the business side of things to see if it would work on any of the issues there like gst return filing or filing elections but nope. Totally broken.

For HST returns… if you have filed for the client before… try getting an access code for GST Net File… I just did that successfully… although had a hard time to get to the actual filing page.

I am speaking with a CRA agent now. He was asking for slip info from me and I told him that I can’t access that on RAC. He says there is an update this weekend that is supposed to correct a lot of these issues.

Yes. Frustrating. Gotta retrain yourself to hit that extra tab key before hitting enter. Grr.

Seriously?? 2 weekends in a row? Well, better to get it fixed than not, I guess.

I’m waiting to renew my Efile number too.

The other suggestion - from an association - is to complain either directly to the Minister ( marie-claude.bibeau@parl.gc.ca) or to your local MP. They need to know (and probably don’t care, because getting their pension is FAR more important than doing their jobs…). /s

Seriously…write your MP, regardless of party.

F5 doesn’t really work, but I found out that the customization is now done by setting the period end/tax year to all and time frame to custom.

Still it is a pain they round everything to the nearest dollar.

Edit: I think the F5 issue might have been for something else.

F5 is just on the personal side of RAC for tslips, client summary info, carryforwards, etc. Nothing has helped on the business side.

Thanks @AlbertaEFileT

Wish I could be more help! Sadly, the CRA has really handcuffed us this time on the business side!

I won’t even get into the nonsense they are pulling with CERB now. Shaaaaady stuff happening around our representative authority when talking to CRA about clients and their CERB reviews.
