Access prior years Taxprep and Profile T1 files

I have received 2019 and 2018 T1electronic data files from a client but do not have access to the actual Taxprep and Profile programs. Is there a way to use TaxCycle to open these 2019 and 2018 data files for review of expenses schedules?

As far as I know, TaxCycle can only carryforward a prior year TaxPrep or Profile data file. TaxCycle cannot open one of those files for viewing. Is there no predecessor accountant?

Maybe try carry-forward to the next tax year.
Open and look in the 2-year or 5 year comparative and see if anything useful shows.

Also, as Kevin observed, if these older files are TaxPrep and Profile, there must have been a predecessor accountant.
