"This is a public forum, and search engines index these discussions."

…which is? (I’m not trying to be snarky here…I’m really not understanding the point you’re trying to make.) And I’d be happy to take this to PM and offline if you’d prefer.

Yeah, I am not about to engage online in a legal discusion belonging in law school.

An example of the stated aim and purpose of the forum?
“This community exists as a place for accountants, bookkeepers and tax preparers to discuss topics related to Canadian tax returns.”

@joe.justjoe1 Just ignore those posts that don’t meet the stated purpose of the forum. Continued posting about what is wrong with what is posted really detracts from the forum.

Thanks, but instead of ignoring 5% of posts, we should work towards having to ignore 95% of them, having the forum becoming lower and worse than a consumer type forum of amateurs?

That would not my understanding of a PRO-forum at all. :weary:
Maybe in a world where CPA designations are handed out like poppies on 11th November to all comers…

The “detracting” can certainly be found in those growing numbers of amateur postings… positioning message as “Taxcycle, the hangout of amateurs”

The root cause of the problem would appear to be the publishing of content to search engines.
