I have been using a Funglam Label Printer since 2021 to print 4x2 address and folder labels. However, I have reached the end of my present stock of 4x2 address labels and would like to move to 6x4 packing labels.
This would mean printing landscape format through the printer, yet I can’t cause Taxcycle to “memorize” that setting. (previously I could, so this may be a “bug” with the present printing issues.)
A workaround that I can use is to print the labels all to an Adobe Acrobat file, then print directly. But printing in two steps is annoying.
I was wondering if others have been printing shipping labels (6x4) in landscape format and what printer they use. My printer is five years and really was a cheap Chinese device.
I have been happy with my Dymo LabelWriter 450’s but I don’t print to the larger label sizes. My custom template is set to landscape and Taxcycle does retain that setting.
I buy knock off labels which are a real cost savings compared to the Dymo brand. I have heard they will not work with newer Dymo printers but I don’t know that that is true.
I bought a new Dymo 450 Labelwriter several years ago and have never figured out how to use it. I can only spend so much time trying then i give up. Tim, if you want a new Dymo printer for a discounted price, I could drop it off for you next time I’m in Gatineau.
I love my Dymo 450. I remember it was quite easy to setup. Just install the software and plug and play. TaxCycle has a label that can setup in the print section. Really handy.
The only thing that I had to figure out is how to put the roll in
well, I am older and have learned some things since I last tried. However I also fear my reading comprehension has slipped since them but if you say so, I will trust you. Thanks@Rein.
I’ve used the 450 Labelwriter for years and haven’t had any problems. You’d have to move up to the 5XL model to handle a 6x4 label. I imagine you could create a TaxCycle template to accommodate it.
