Tax Season CRA strike?

I wouldn’t take a job at the CRA either for that sort of money. I suspect they have to put up with a fair amount of abuse and no amount of money would make that worthwhile for me. I have been in practice on my own part time since Oct 2004 and while like Nezzer I probably average $50k/yr to me I have invested well over the years from my husband’s occasionally very lucrative engineering consulting design work and we currently have enough to completely retire. My husband retired January 1st this year although we will see how long that lasts as he’s only 53 and has retired before… He’s currently renovating our house full bore. I putter along dealing with the clients I like at the pace I like since at 49 I am not ready to retire since I enjoy what I do for the most part. I usually try to hire assistants as I dislike the data entry part of tax work but I like not having much to do work wise from July to December every year.
