My clients are newcomers. I ensure it is their first time to file T1 return. When I submit T1, it shows error code 112-C and said " The Canada Revenue Agency was unable to process your return. Our records indicate your client is not filing an income tax return for the first time with the Canada Revenue Agency. Please go back in your software and ensure you do not identify your client as someone who is filing an income tax return for the first time and submit the tax return again." I am not sure if it is the bug of tax cycle or a bug of CRA.
They already contacted CRA for something, so don’t select first time filer.
Thanks for your response. The T1 was transmitted successfully when the first time filer was selected “ no”. However, the taxpayer got full basic tax credit. How to solve this problem?
If the client has no income outside Canada, his credits are not prorated.
