Depends on the situation. Too many factors to describe here. I suggest you go see a local accountant, in person, and get them to run some numbers based on your specific facts.
But generally, the government has tried to encourage ALL residents to file their taxes. The incentives for doing so include:
CCB
CCR
GST/HST Credit
AWCB
etc
That’s why they call it a “Tax and Benefit Return”
