It appears that Corporate files that are password protected in TaxCycle, do not share the security feature in files used/created by that file.
For example: *.html Notices of Assessment and the *.cor file pulled by Auto-fill are both fully visible and can be opened without security passwords. (image below)
While the naked eye may not understand the COR file in TXT format, it only takes a brief review to see it is schedule and box number information. This ends up making any data from prior year vulnerable and no longer protected by password security.
Alternatively, is there a recommended folder Advanced Permission Security setting that will still give TaxCycle the ability to read/write/execute/modify the folders and open the files in the system for each user, but prevent folder access to the files directly?
