RAC - changes again

Here we go again…the wonks at CRA are at it once more…

New TOS agreement that only runs on for about 5 pages…

I guess we now have to select the REPID portion if we want client info.

And some internal changes…for instance the below on a client T1 acount balance inquiry.

It would be good if they made FUNCTIONAL changes instead of making things “prettier”. What a crew they have there.

Hah…folowed by this:
“nothing” in the Access client info (ie no select boxes) and the user shows as: “undefined undefined”.

Oh boy…this might be a fun day.

I’m already experiencing issues with submitting T4s and T4As using rep a client. A typical Monday experience with the CRA…

Why can’t they let us know beforehand that there’s going to be some major changes instead of saying that it’s a routine maintenance!

I couldn’t agree more.

That second change you mention has been around for a month or more now I believe. I find sometimes though one or more do not show there. An example is sometimes there is no “Income tax” listed to pick.

I was hoping this update would solve something for me but alas, it did not.
I still show 2 unread messages in my mail, but in going through every year and possible combinations, everything is read. The bottom of each section always shows 0 unread, while the main heading indicates 2 unread.

Makes me worry there somehow is a review out there in cyberspace that nobody but the CRA is aware of.

If anyone else has this problem I would be interested to hear about it. CRA has created a ticket regarding the issue but they still cannot tell me if in fact there is some other mail that has not been dealt with.

I’ve had this situation with a client of mine. We had filed their adjustment request 3 months ago however it was showing on the CRA system as being processed but with no dates. When I viewed their unread messages, there was a phantom mail. It drove me nuts because I was getting worried that the client might have received something in their mailbox but they hadn’t. I then sent a service complaint where the complaint officer was able let me know that there was indeed a “hidden ghost mail.” They were able to fix it on their end but still, it was quite infuriating.

I managed to find the client online mailbox, since it no longer appears under “correspondence” on the main page (??!!), but does anybody know where they hid the “change return” feature?

Thank You. Now I can see it AND also “mail” has suddenly reappeared where it should be so not sure what’s happening??
