In connection with releases for new years, at present, when we get these releases:

  1. we first have to update our custom templates to be used in this year
  2. then we have to carry forward our custom print sets to the new year

if this is done in the wrong order, it can cause print templates not to be recognized.

Is there any way a script can be written, for all of this to be automated, or to have this as a user defined option?

Yes and Include a script to create the data directories asking to use the same using the same base opath as previous years. and update options if applicable
