New Format

I didn’t know category this falls in but the new format shows “new topics” that are quite old as the newest topics. Is this some temporary issue related to the change or is this going to be a continuing issue? I find it confusing to determine what is actually a “new topic” from looking at the list.

Hi Kevin, I noticed some older topics showing up in the recent activity, they were edited by a community member which is why they showed up near the top of the list.

This is consistent to the functionality the community has always had, any new replies, or edits to prior topics count as activity.

Thanks for the quick reply, @aaron.doucet.cpa. The last edit date on the one I saw was July 2019 but when I just hovered my mouse over the pencil, it shows a more recent edit date of July 2024. I’m sure these will all work out over time.

No problem Kevin! With the changes gone into place this week, I have been monitoring the forum quite heavily to catch any issues in real time.

Thanks for flagging this, we do appreciate it, and I agree I think there will be some time where folks are simply trying out the new features as they have become available and it will stabilize over time. This is why we chose to institute these changes in the slower tax time.

Hi Kevin, nobody may have noticed in the past, but I have been routinely keeping the forum organized. With the new ‘Taxcycle General’ topic, there were a number of post in ‘unclassified’ that could now be classified…
