Ran a scenario for someone who doesn’t legally have to declare common-law until 2025, but wanted to see what the results would be like if they declared in 2024. Ended up separating the returns. Now I’m getting an error on filing that there’s an entry on line 51051 for “common-law partner’s negative net income”. I need to clear that, whatever it is. Please help!
I have just run into the same issue - what was the fix - can 51051 just be overridden (where is that number even coming from)? TIA
