This is a new client, and I wanted to enter the figures from their PY return into TaxCycle. I’ve tried a number of the Summary forms (i.e. 2YearSummary), but TaxCycle won’t let me enter the prior year figures - How do I get around this?
You can enter the previous years’ figures on the 5 year summary

Enter them on the 5 yr summary page which will then populate to the other forms like the 2 yr summary. Make sure you select the “Calculate Totals” option at the top left of the page. You can also use the 5 yr short, although the 5 yr short won’t display all the fields unless they are populated so those will need to be entered on the regular 5 yr summary page.
Note that Line 420 Federal Tax is a calculated field. If you are entered the data from the CRA Assessment Details form which doesn’t show Line 40600, you can create this value by adding Line 35000 + Line 42000. Entries in this field are used to populate Line 42000. By doing this addition in Line 40600, you will find that Line 42000 will now populate properly without having to use an override.
