A client filed a T1135 by mistake (a foreign vacation property). Can I send a request by mail to CRA to cancel the T1135 filed previously?

I did this one year. I think I had to paper file the request however. It was late, they charged a late filing penalty, then the client said - nope it was really not required so I sent in a cancellation request. Got the form cancelled and the penalty reversed. This was probably 10 years ago now.
